Sep 2014- June 2015 | Design/Build Studio 804
Last year in architecture school I took part in a design/build studio where the
students along with the guidance of the professor designed and built a Passive House,
LEED Certified House in Lawrence, Ks. You can check this house out here.

May 2015 | Graduation
Graduated with a 5 year Master of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas.

July 2015- Sep 2015 | Rammed Earth Passive House
Took on an adventurous architecture/construction internship right after
graduation where myself and 9 more recently graduated aspiring architects built the walls for the first rammed earth passive house in Alaska. Not only did I gain more construction experience, but I also created irreplaceable memories and friendships. You can check out this beautiful project's progress here.

Sep 2015- May 2016 | Residential Firm: Architecture Internship
Had my first architectural office job at Schneider & Associates Architects where we
specialize in designing one-family homes and small additions to commercial projects.
Here is where I learned how to draw construction documents for accomplishing a
building permit. Here I also took on a job of designing my first home for a
Spanish speaking client and additionally helped him build his house from scratch in Kansas.
Aug 2016- Current | BRR ARCHITECTURE
At this corporate architecture firm I learned everything else I needed to learn in order to become a well rounded licensed architect. At this firm I'm getting a lot of exposure on the business side of architecture which is one of my least favorite things in the world but I know it will benefit me in the long run. Here I got experience in design development, construction document production, revisions, permitting and construction administration through CCDs, observation, submittal reviews.. While I try to be a true Renaissance contemporary women in during this time of my life in taking my state exams for my licensure, working minimum 8 hrs a day x 5 a week, going on weekend travels, and working on my passion which is designing tiny architecture on the weekends when possible.
